Mij is bekend dat men aan de Universiteit van Stellenbosch een leider zoekt voor het "buro vir ekonomiese ondersoek" tegen een salaris van £ 700 per jaar. Bij zijn bezoek aan Holland heb ik daarover uitvoerig gesproken met Prof. Schumann, die de hoofdfiguur is aan deze universiteit voor wat het economisch onderzoekingswerk betreft. Deze zal tussen 5 en 11 Juli in Brussel te bereiken zijn. Mocht je er iets voor voelen om althans nadere informaties te krijgen, dan zou je wellicht gelegenheid hebben hem daar eens te bezoeken. Indien je er voor voelt zou ik je willen vragen hem even een berichtje te sturen naar New York, 18 c/o Carnegie Corporation of New York, 522, Fifth avenue, waar hij de 22e vertrekt.
Wees zo vriendelijk mij even op de hoogte te stellen of je er op reflecteert.

I am aware that the University of Stellenbosch is looking for a leader for the "bureau for economic research" at a salary of £ 700 per year. During his visit to Holland, I spoke extensively about this with Prof. Schumann, who is the main figure at this university regarding economic research work. He will be reachable in Brussels between July 5 and 11. Should you feel like getting at least further information, you might have the opportunity to visit him there. If you are interested, I would like to ask you to send him a short message to New York, 18 c/o Carnegie Corporation of New York, 522, Fifth Avenue, from where he departs on the 22nd.
