In antwoord op Uw brief van 2 Mei 1952 deel ik U mede in beginsel bereid te zijn de onder 1 en 2 genoemde onderwerpen te behandelen, terwijl ik t.a.v. punt 3 een lichtelijk gewijzigde probleemstelling zou willen kiezen en het verband met de vredesonderhandelingen ter zijde zou willen laten. Thans wil ik U nog vragen of U deze artikelen in het Nederlands dan wel in het Engels verlangt te ontvangen. Met Uw honorarium kan ik mij geheel verenigen.

In response to your letter of May 2, 1952, I inform you that I am in principle prepared to handle the subjects mentioned under 1 and 2, while regarding point 3, I would like to choose a slightly modified problem statement and would like to leave aside the connection with the peace negotiations. Now I would also like to ask you whether you wish to receive these articles in Dutch or in English. I can fully agree with your honorarium.
