Zeer geachte Heer Quik,
Dezer dagen deelde mij de heer drs F. Weinreb, vroeger medewerker van het Nederlands Economisch Instituut, mede dat hij gaarne zou emigreren en dus belangstelling had voor een economische functie in het buitenland.
De heer Weinreb heeft jarenlang bij het Nederlands Economisch Instituut analyses van de economische toestand gemaakt, die van zeer goede kwaliteit waren. Hij was daarbij bovendien steeds een rustig en vlot medewerker, zodat ik zeker ben dat hij in die richting goed werk kan leveren. Hij komt dunkt mij ook voor een docerende functie in aanmerking. Gaarne ben ik bereid mijn inlichtingen desgewenst mondeling nog aan te vullen.

Dear Mr. Quik,
Recently, Mr. F. Weinreb, a former employee of the Netherlands Economic Institute, informed me that he would like to emigrate and was therefore interested in an economic position abroad.
For years, Mr. Weinreb has produced analyses of the economic situation at the Netherlands Economic Institute, which were of very good quality. Moreover, he was always a calm and efficient colleague, so I am certain that he can deliver good work in that direction. It seems to me that he is also eligible for a teaching position. I am happy to supplement my information orally if desired.
