Waarde Rauwenhoff,
Overeenkomstig onze afspraak heb ik even laten onderzoeken wat de prijs is van het abonnement op de voorlichting van de heer Roos. Het blijkt dat ik mij aanzienlijk heb vergist in de kosten daarvan. Deze zijn 500 $ per jaar. Ik neem aan, dat op grond van dit cijfer U er van af ziet met hem nader in contact te komen. Mocht het anders zijn, dan zal ik de bedoelde introductiebrief natuurlijk alsnog gaarne schrijven.

In accordance with our agreement, I have had an investigation into the price of the subscription to the information service of Mr. Roos. It appears that I was significantly mistaken about the costs thereof. These are $500 per year. I assume that based on this figure you will decide against getting in further contact with him. Should it be otherwise, I will of course still be happy to write the intended letter of introduction.
