Dear Mr. Pinon,
I herewith enclose a list of publications which I think may be useful for studying the subjects mentioned in your letter of April 30, 1953, addressed to Prof. Tinbergen.
The publications nrs. 1-4 contain information on methods of computing national income, setting up national accounts and statistical material. Publication nr. 5 is devoted to the government activity between the two world wars. The share of government expenditure in national income during the post war period can be derived from the document nrs. 1-4.
The distribution of national income among wage earners and non-wage earners is dealt with in the articles mentioned under 6-11.
National income statistics and national accounts in the Netherlands are very often used in formulating the national economic policy. In Benelux discussions this way of formulating is rather difficult as in Belgium national income statistics have not reached a reasonable [degree] of development.
