Dear Modigliani,
It was good news to hear that you are considering to visit Holland early in June. Although unfortunately I shall myself be in the United States at that time, several of my colleagues in the Planning Bureau as well as in the Netherlands Economic Institute would be anxious to meet you. This is why both institutes would like to ask you to give a lecture before the combined staff members on one of the days which is convenient to you. They could offer you to pay your hotel expenses for two nights and your travelling costs through Holland as well as a fee of Dfl. 100. They could leave the choice of the date to you; please, communicate with Dr W. DREES Jr, deputy director of the Central Planning Bureau.
