Zeer geachte Heer de Boer,
Gelukkig dat ik lezer ben van het Cebusta-nieuws ! Nu ten minste kan ik toch nog, zij het met een maand vertraging, mijn gelukwensen schriftelijk aanbieden met Uw 40-jarig jubileum. Ik zie eruit dat U, toen ik voor het eerst mijn gezicht in de bibliotheek van het C.B.S. liet zien, daar al zo'n 16 jaar werkzaam was geweest. Daar zijn er sedertdien nog heel wat bijgekomen. Ik weet dat zij niet altijd jaren van vreugde zijn geweest, maar ik hoop dat U toch met geheel van die periode kunt terugzien met de voldoening van iemand die zijn plicht gedaan heeft en een bijdrage tot de goede naam van service, die het C.B.S. in de buitenwereld heeft, heeft kunnen leveren. Zelf heb ik ook zoveel hulpvaardigheid en vriendelijkheid van U mogen ontvangen, dat ik erg blij ben dit nog eens te mogen uitspreken. Van harte wens ik U dat U nog vele jaren in goede gezondheid zal mogen doorbrengen!

Dear Mr. de Boer,
Fortunately, I am a reader of the Cebusta-news! Now at least I can still, albeit with a month's delay, offer my congratulations in writing on your 40th anniversary. I see that when I first showed my face in the library of the C.B.S., you had already been working there for about 16 years. Quite a few have been added since then. I know that they have not always been years of joy, but I hope that you can still look back on that entire period with the satisfaction of someone who has done his duty and has been able to contribute to the good reputation for service that the C.B.S. has in the outside world. I myself have also received so much helpfulness and kindness from you that I am very happy to be able to express this once again. From the bottom of my heart, I wish that you may spend many more years in good health!
