Dezer dagen werd ik verblijd met de volledige drukproef van de studie over de conjunctuurgolven in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, die de Akademie van mij wil uitgeven. Ten einde nog iets beter geïnformeerd te zijn over de mogelijke belangstelling, verzond ik bijgaand briefje aan het hoofd van de publicatie-afdeling van de Verenigde Naties. Ik verwacht enige extra belangstelling nu besloten is, dat onder de auspiciën van de UNESCO opgerichte International Economic Association voor het volgend jaar een rondetafel-conferentie over conjunctuuronderzoek heeft georganiseerd.

These days I was delighted with the complete galley proof of the study on business cycles in the United Kingdom, which the Academy wants to publish for me. In order to be even better informed about the possible interest, I sent the enclosed note to the head of the publication department of the United Nations. I expect some extra interest now that it has been decided that the International Economic Association, established under the auspices of UNESCO, has organized a round-table conference on business cycle research for next year.
