Zeer geachte Mejuffrouw Gorris,
Bijgaand zend ik U de tekening van de verklaring van de ruw-ijzer prijzen (s) in Engeland als factoren. Ter verklaring zijn hierbij gebruikt:
v^c = de activiteit in de ijzer-industrie (men zou ook kunnen zeggen een algemene index voor de omvang van de productie) ;
w' die het omgekeerde is van de voorraden ruw-ijzer en dus typisch het bottleneck-idee presenteert ;
l = de loonindex die een bewijs is voor de kosten.
Overigens is de correlatie niet zo buitengewoon; ik reken stellig op een betere correlatie voor de Verenigde Staten. Ik ben benieuwd te horen wat Uw pogingen hebben uitgewerkt.

Dear Miss Gorris,
Enclosed I am sending you the drawing of the explanation of the pig iron prices (s) in England as factors. For the explanation, the following have been used:
v^c = the activity in the iron industry (one could also say a general index for the volume of production) ;
w' which is the inverse of the pig iron stocks and thus typically presents the bottleneck idea ;
l = the wage index which is evidence for the costs.
Furthermore, the correlation is not so extraordinary; I definitely count on a better correlation for the United States. I am curious to hear what your efforts have produced.
