Zeer geachte Heer Brouwer,
Een enkele nadere inlichting is genoeg om U op weg te kunnen helpen. Het is waarschijnlijk Uw bedoeling statistiek voor de propaedeuse te bestuderen. Als dat inderdaad het geval is, bent U met het boek van Prof. Bakker reeds een heel eind. Ik zend U dezer dagen nog een enkel door mij uitgereikt stencil ter aanvulling, doch de meeste stof zult U in bedoeld boek vinden. Het is daarbij niet nodig te bestuderen de hoofdstukken 7 en 8 van het eerste deel en de hoofdstukken betreffende de culturele statistiek in het tweede deel. Verder verdient het aanbeveling van het boek van Stridiron, bedrijfseconomische statistiek, de eerste vier hoofdstukken door te lezen. Mocht U verdere vragen hebben, dan zal ik die gaarne beantwoorden.

A single piece of further information is enough to help you on your way. It is likely your intention to study statistics for the propaedeutic exam. If that is indeed the case, you are already a long way with Prof. Bakker's book. In the coming days, I will send you a single stencil issued by me as a supplement, but you will find most of the material in the book mentioned. In addition, it is not necessary to study chapters 7 and 8 of the first part and the chapters concerning cultural statistics in the second part. Furthermore, it is recommended to read the first four chapters of Stridiron's book, business economic statistics. Should you have further questions, I will be happy to answer them.
