Dear Sir,
Having had the great pleasure of spending our holidays at the Hotel Astrid in your beautiful country, we took a walk in Goesdorf last week and we had the opportunity to greet you as we passed in front of your garden. To our great satisfaction, we have just found, in the magazine "Letzeburger Illustre'ert" of July 17, a series of photos of your village, including your image and that of your students. It is for us — for my wife, my youngest daughter and myself — a need, having missed the opportunity to tell you in passing, how much we enjoyed the beautiful location and the tranquility of Goesdorf. In the magazine we read about the problems of your village. We hope that those who have stayed will know how to appreciate the beauty of their village and the usefulness of their agricultural work.

Ayant eu le grand plaisir de passer nos vacances à l'hotel Astrid dans votre belle patrie, nous avons fait une promenade à Goesdorf la semaine passée et nous avons eu l'occasion de vous saluer lors de notre passage devant votre jardin. À notre grande satisfaction nous venons de trouver, dans la revue "Letzeburger Illustre'ert" du 17 juillet une série de fotos de votre village, entre autres avec votre image et celle de vos élèves. Il nous est — à ma femme, ma fille cadette et à moi-même — un besoin, ayant manqué l'occasion de vous le dire en passant, comment nous nous sommes réjouis de la belle situation et de la tranquillité de Goesdorf. Dans la revue nous avons lu des problèmes de votre village. Nous espérons que ceux qui sont restés sauront apprécier la beauté de leur village et l'utilité de leur travail agricole.
