Dear Secretary and Rotarian Friend,
I have received your letter of May 19 and I thank you very much for it. However, as the enclosed letter will show you, I had already been allowed to make a change and to come visit you on June 5, given that I have a meeting of a commission of the High Authority on that same date. I hope that you agree with this change of date and I look forward very much to being among you and to talking to you a little about the socio-political structure of Holland. I will be at the Hotel Brasseur at 12:30 p.m.

J'ai bien reçu votre lettre du 19 mai et je vous en remercie vivement. Cependant, comme le vous montrera la lettre ci-incluse, on m'avait déjà permis de faire un changement et de venir vous visiter le 5 juin, étant donné que j'ai une réunion d'une commission de la Haute Autorité à cette même date. J'espère que vous êtes d'accord avec ce changement de date et je me réjouis beaucoup d'être parmi vous et de vous parler un peu de la structure socio-politique de la Hollande. Je serai à l'hôtel Brasseur à 12.30 h.
Je vous prie d'agréer, cher Secrétaire et Ami Rotarien, l'expression de mes sentiments bien cordiaux.
