Dear Mr Narasimham,
In reply to your letter of August 29 I am able to inform you at once that you will be very welcome at the Central Planning Bureau for training in econometric methods. Your work has shown me how much you are interested and to what an extent you already succeeded in mastering the method. Let us not fix the period completely, but I am sure that a year might be useful. Meanwhile we may have a chance to find out whether you will be admitted to the doctor promotion at the Netherlands School of Economics.
