Zeer geachte Mejuffrouw Ruiter,
Naar aanleiding van Uw brief van 8 Febr. 1954 deel ik U namens Prof. Tinbergen het volgende mede.
De Vereniging voor de Staathuishoudkunde is een vereniging van wetenschapsbeoefenaars. Zij is als zodanig niet direct geïnteresseerd bij het door U bedoelde onderwijs. In den Haag is er overigens een zeer groot aantal instituten en particulieren, dat zich met het geven van dit onderwijs bezig houdt. Zonder daarmee een directe voorkeur te willen uitspreken moge ik U noemen het Instituut voor Sociale Wetenschappen, Wassenaarseweg 39, den Haag. Dit instituut is mij persoonlijk niet bekend, doch blijkt een goede naam te hebben.
Ik hoop U hiermede een bruikbaar aanknopingspunt te hebben geboden en wens U gaarne succes bij Uw eventuele studie.

Following your letter of Feb. 8, 1954, I am informing you of the following on behalf of Prof. Tinbergen.
The Association for Political Economy is an association of scholars. As such, it is not directly interested in the education you referred to. In The Hague, there is, moreover, a very large number of institutes and private individuals engaged in providing this education. Without wishing to express a direct preference, I may mention to you the Institute for Social Sciences, Wassenaarseweg 39, The Hague. This institute is not personally known to me, but appears to have a good reputation.
I hope to have provided you with a useful starting point and wish you success with your possible studies.
