Zeer geachte Mevrouw Voskuil,
Alweer wel bedankt voor Uw brief van 24 dezer, die al heel gauw over was: gisteren hier. Ik heb een hele verzameling van punten - mag ik maar van leer trekken?
Plan versie 24 Oct. ook gekregen. Keurig uitgevoerd. Ik heb nog een paar kleine "uiterlijke" wensen: zou men de tabellen II niet, voorzover mogelijk, terug in vullen tot 1947? Vaak erg nuttig. Voorts heb ik een voorkeur voor het woord deflatoir i.p.v. deflationnair. Is een oude Hollandse uitgang: men schreef vroeger of/voor oo.
The President, Haverford College, zou gaarne een exemplaar (in 't Nederlands) ontvangen van de nota-Koornneef. U wilt dit misschien met de heer Bleeker opnemen, aan de auteur en hem overlatende welke versie de beste is. Doel is informatie, niet voor publicatie, van enige Amerikaanse ambtenaren die zich met soortgelijke problemen bezig houden. Als contraprestatie zal de heer White (genoemde President) een dik (en mooi) rapport zenden over de Amerikaanse waterhuishouding. - Hij voegt nog een vraag toe: zijn er in Nederland voorbeelden van onderzoekingen die t.a.v. enig werk na afloop hebben vastgesteld of de geplande invloeden ook inderdaad zijn opgetreden? Nacalculaties dus bv. van bepaalde soorten investeringen. Doet U tevens de hartelijke groeten aan de beide heren, hierboven genoemd; misschien schrijf ik later nog eens apart.

Thank you again for your letter of the 24th, which arrived very quickly: here yesterday. I have a whole collection of points - may I just get started?
Plan version 24 Oct. also received. Neatly executed. I have a few small "aesthetic" wishes: could tables II not be filled back to 1947, as far as possible? Often very useful. Furthermore, I have a preference for the word "deflatoir" instead of "deflationnair". It's an old Dutch ending: people used to write of/for oo.
The President, Haverford College, would like to receive a copy (in Dutch) of the Koornneef-memo. You might want to take this up with Mr. Bleeker, leaving it to the author and him which version is best. The purpose is information, not for publication, for some American officials who are dealing with similar problems. In return, Mr. White (the aforementioned President) will send a thick (and beautiful) report on American water management. - He adds another question: are there examples in the Netherlands of studies that, regarding any work, determined after completion whether the planned influences actually occurred? Recalculations, for example, of certain types of investments. Please also give my warm regards to both gentlemen mentioned above; perhaps I will write separately later.
