Dr C.M. PALVIA, ECAFE, Paruskawan Palace, Rajadamnern Ave, Bangkok, Thailand
My dear Palvia,
I got yours of October 12 and the copies of the cheques. I am afraid I should have written you that I got both cheques already, so that everything is all right now up to ƒ 1200.-. I also saw several weeks ago Mr van Wageningen a couple of days after I got your approval on the proposed changes in the cover. I am going to see him to-morrow in Rotterdam in order to find out why I did not yet get the copies. He promised me to do so. Meanwhile I collected a small list of applicants for your book. Please, find the names at the foot of this page. As you may remember there may be a small deficit to be covered ( Mr van Wageningen's offer being somewhat more than ƒ 1200.-) and I wonder whether I should not simply use the proceeds of the first few copies in order cover this. I will let you know the account as soon as I get it.
We were much amused by the history of Tineke's letter.
With best regards, yours very sincerely,
