Dear Mr Gupta,
The editors of "De Economist" have finally taken a decision on your article. Although they think it is clearly written they feel it is not an original contribution, but rather a good summary of the contents of some reports of the U.N. This is why they feel they should not accept it for publication in their journal.
I wonder whether not an article of this kind would be in the right place if submitted to e.g. the editors of the Indonesian commercial journal, which is regularly published here by the High Commissariat. May be you feel inclined to try whether they would be interested. This journal is more of an informative character, and contributions need not therefore be original scientific contributions. I hope you will find this agreeable.
