My dear Colleague and Friend,
It goes without saying that I accept the opinion of the majority of our colleagues regarding the subject of the Economic Week. I am also perfectly in agreement regarding the choice of rapporteurs. Like you, it seems to me that the mid-February date is not possible given that the rapporteurs must prepare. I have just seen Father Verleye during the visit of the College to The Hague and I understand that in April there will be the Easter holidays. Perhaps the month of May will suit the College; I hope it is the same for our rapporteurs. It goes without saying that I agree that you will consult them in this regard.
While thanking you for your activity, I beg you to believe in my very cordial sentiments.

Mon cher Collègue et Ami,
Il va sans dire que j'accepte l'opinion de la majorité de nos collègues en ce qui concerne le sujet de la Semaine Economique. Je suis également parfaitement d'accord en ce qui concerne le choix des rapporteurs. Comme vous, il me semble que la date de mi-février n'est pas possible vu que les rapporteurs doivent se préparer. Je viens de voir le Père Verleye lors de la visite du Collège à la Haye et je comprends qu'en avril on aura les vacances de Pâques. Peut-être le mois de mai conviendra au Collège; j'espère qu'il est ainsi pour nos rapporteurs. Il va sans dire que je suis d'accord que vous les consulterez à cet égard.
Tout en vous remerciant de votre activité je vous prie de croire à mes sentiments bien cordiaux.
