Voor je brief van 7 Mei dank ik je zeer. De tijd is nu wellicht gekomen om tot een nadere afspraak te geraken. Ik [zou] willen vragen of het schikt dat ik ofwel op de 23e ofwel op de 29e Juni kom, waarbij ik dan in het bijzonder ook graag het bestuur van de Vereniging zou willen ontmoeten, terwijl ik daarnaast wellicht korte tijd beslag mag leggen op je eigen alsmede op die van je broer en op de heer Avéres, om mij op de hoogte te stellen van de belangrijkste kwesties van economis[che] aard, die op het ogenblik spelen. De stukken betreffende de vergadering van de Vereniging zowel als van de Vennootschap [heb] ik met belangstelling bestudeerd. Hartelijk dank voor je inlichtingen en bij voorbaat voor een kort antwoord.

Thank you very much for your letter of May 7. The time has now perhaps come to reach a further agreement. I [would] like to ask if it is convenient for me to come either on the 23rd or on the 29th of June, whereby I would then particularly also like to meet the board of the Association, while I might also take up a short amount of your time as well as that of your brother and Mr. Avéres, to inform myself of the most important issues of an economi[c] nature that are currently at play. I [have] studied the documents concerning the meeting of the Association as well as the Company with interest. Thank you very much for your information and in advance for a short answer.
