Beste Piet,
Het lijkt mij dat de heer Kruytbosch zich gewoon zal moeten aanmelden bij de Rockefeller Foundation. Dan komt er automatisch een bezoek aan mij over hem, dat waarschijnlijk gevolgd zal worden door een gesprek met jou en met hemzelf. Ik wil heel graag op jouw gezag het voor hem opnemen en zal mij inmiddels nog wat over hem laten inlichten door de heren v.d. Beugel en Kupers. Zijn aanmelding zou gericht kunnen worden aan nr 49, W 49th street, New York of in Parijs, maar daarvan weet ik het juiste adres niet.

Dear Piet,
It seems to me that Mr. Kruytbosch will simply have to apply to the Rockefeller Foundation. Then a visit to me about him will automatically follow, which will probably be followed by a conversation with you and with himself. I would very much like to take up his cause on your authority and will in the meantime have myself informed a bit more about him by Messrs. v.d. Beugel and Kupers. His application could be addressed to no. 49, W 49th street, New York or in Paris, but I do not know the exact address of the latter.
