Zeer geachte Heer van Hoboken,
In antwoord op Uw brief van 22 Februari deel ik U mede, dat ik, van Prof. Mukerji gehoord hebbende dat de bijeenkomst van 3 Maart niet kon doorgaan, deze datum reeds weer ten dele voor andere doelen heb moeten beschikbaar stellen. Het is nu zo, dat ik even na drieën zou moeten vertrekken en ik vraag mij af of het dus niet verstandiger zou zijn iets eerder te beginnen, b.v. om 1/2 2. Ik zal met de studenten vooraf nog wel enig overleg plegen, zodat we enigermate voorbereid in de studio verschijnen. Op 17 Maart ben ik inderdaad beschikbaar. Met Uw voorwaarden kan ik gemakkelijk accoord gaan.

Dear Mr. van Hoboken,
In response to your letter of 22 February, I inform you that, having heard from Prof. Mukerji that the meeting of 3 March could not take place, I have already had to make this date partially available for other purposes. It is now the case that I would have to leave shortly after three o'clock and I wonder if it would therefore not be wiser to start a bit earlier, e.g. at 1:30. I will still have some consultation with the students beforehand, so that we appear in the studio somewhat prepared. On 17 March I am indeed available. I can easily agree to your terms.
