Zeer geachte heer de Meel,
Uw schrijven van 16 December 1952 aan Prof. Tinbergen, is door deze aan mij ter hand gesteld met het verzoek, of U in ieder geval bij Uw aankomst in Nederland contact wilt zoeken met ons bureau.
Zowel op het Centraal Planbureau als op het Bureau Werkgelegenheid, dat onder leiding staat van Prof. Polak, is een vacature en wij zouden het op prijs stellen in een nader gesprek te onderzoeken, in hoeverre of deze vacatures eventueel voor U een passende werkkring vormen.

Your letter of 16 December 1952 to Prof. Tinbergen has been handed to me by him with the request that you should in any case contact our bureau upon your arrival in the Netherlands.
There is a vacancy both at the Central Planning Bureau and at the Employment Bureau, which is under the direction of Prof. Polak, and we would appreciate exploring in a further discussion to what extent these vacancies might eventually constitute a suitable professional environment for you.
