Zeer geachte Heer Bruins Slot,
Enige tijd geleden maakte ik met U de voorlopige afspraak, dat ik U op 12 Februari in de Tweede Kamer zou trachten te bereiken. Sindsdien is mij gebleken, dat ik die middag elders verplichtingen heb, waardoor het mij onmogelijk zal zijn in den Haag te zijn. Ik zou het niettemin zeer op prijs stellen met U een gesprek over het Plan Plesman te kunnen hebben. Ik zou U daarom willen verzoeken op bijgaand kaartje enkele tijdstippen te willen aangeven, waarop ik U na de 12e wellicht eens in de Kamer zou kunnen aantreffen.

Some time ago I made a provisional appointment with you that I would try to reach you on February 12 in the House of Representatives. Since then it has become clear to me that I have obligations elsewhere that afternoon, making it impossible for me to be in The Hague. I would nevertheless very much appreciate being able to have a conversation with you about the Plesman Plan. I would therefore like to ask you to indicate on the enclosed card a few times when I might be able to find you in the House after the 12th.
