Hierbij veroorloof ik mij naar de stand van zaken te informeren betreffende het boek van Dr A. Bijl, waarvan ik de copy geruime tijd geleden in de eindvorm aan U terugzond. Nu het werkloosheidsvraagstuk zo in het centrum van de belangstelling staat, lijkt het mij aanbevelenswaardig thans met de uitgave van het boek niet te lang meer te wachten.

I hereby take the liberty of inquiring about the state of affairs regarding the book by Dr. A. Bijl, the copy of which I returned to you in its final form some time ago. Now that the issue of unemployment is so much at the center of interest, it seems advisable to me not to wait much longer with the publication of the book.
