Mijn beste wensen voor 1979 vergat ik nog, toen we elkaar over de telefoon spraken. Mag ik ze nu nog uitspreken (-schrijven)? Aan de bladen die je al een keer had voegde ik nu een kolom x6 toe, die een aanwijzing geeft (vermoedelijk met overdreven variaties, met een onbekende multiplicator) van [en] kapitaal per hoofd in elke prefecture. Ik zou het fijn vinden als je zou willen doordraaien (na ponsen, dat is het rotwerkje wat er in zit, dunkt me)

De negatieve a's die je vond zijn niet zo gek, want in Japan worden de boeren gesteund en de kleine bedrijven betalen lagere lonen dan de [grotere] hogere en zijn daarom in zekere zin ook negatief produktief.

To the sheets you already had, I have now added a column x6, which gives an indication (presumably with exaggerated variations, with an unknown multiplier) of [and] capital per capita in each prefecture. The negative a's you found are not so strange, because in Japan farmers are supported and small businesses pay lower wages than the [larger] higher ones and are therefore in a certain sense also negatively productive.
