Hartelijk dank voor de toezending van het boek van Leontief, dat ik je wellicht binnenkort mag terugzenden. Het is inderdaad opvallend hoe zeer de behandelde onderwerpen raken aan de stof van je proefschrift; of men mag denken aan opzettelijk verzwijgen vind ik zeer moeilijk te beoordelen, doch vast staat m.i. dat het een ernstige omissie is dat je werk niet is genoemd.

Thank you very much for sending the book by Leontief, which I may perhaps return to you shortly. It is indeed striking how much the subjects covered relate to the material of your dissertation; whether one may think of intentional concealment I find very difficult to judge, but it is certain in my opinion that it is a serious omission that your work is not mentioned.
