Beste Tik,
Je brief van 7 Maart kreeg ik na mijn terugkeer uit New York de 28e. Ik had de illusie dat ik je Spaanse tekst nogeens helemaal door zou kunnen nemen op de Paasdagen, doch juist tevoren kreeg ik een stapel van naar schatting 1 dm, die bepaald in die dagen moest worden afgedaan. Het is er dus bij ingeschoten tot mijn grote spijt. Ik wil echter graag nog even antwoorden op de punten van je brief die ik zo ineens kan beantwoorden.
Alinea 3: Hartelijk dank. Ik heb ze nog niet kunnen verifiëren, maar het zal vast wel goed zijn.
Alinea 4: Inderdaad is aangenomen dat het bruto product (bruto in de betekenis inclusief invoer) voor 31 % bestaat uit invoer, voor 30 % uit lonen en dus voor 39 % uit inkomen van zelfstandigen. Deze laatste zijn op wat misleidende wijze ook wel eens als winst aangeduid.
Alinea 5: Je hebt wel gelijk. Het is een goed idee; Maar tot nog toe was de gewoonte om alle vergelijkingen tezamen de structuurvergelijking te noemen.
Alinea 6: Op blz. 8 had ik gedacht aan uitgaven voor specifieke doeleinden, die dan inderdaad wel doel genoemd mogen worden.

Dear Tik,
I received your letter of March 7th after my return from New York on the 28th. I had the illusion that I would be able to go through your Spanish text completely once more during the Easter holidays, but just before that I received a stack of an estimated 1 dm, which definitely had to be dealt with during those days. It was therefore neglected, much to my regret. However, I would still like to briefly answer the points in your letter that I can answer right away.
Paragraph 3: Thank you very much. I haven't been able to verify them yet, but they will probably be fine.
Paragraph 4: Indeed, it has been assumed that the gross product (gross in the sense of including imports) consists of 31% imports, 30% wages and therefore 39% income of the self-employed. These last ones have also sometimes been referred to as profit in a somewhat misleading way.
Paragraph 5: You are right. It is a good idea; But until now it was the custom to call all equations together the structural equation.
Paragraph 6: On page 8, I had thought of expenditures for specific purposes, which may then indeed be called a goal.
