Zeer geachte Pater Verleye,
In dank ontving ik Uw beide brieven betreffende de Economische Week. Intussen had ik ook met de heer Perroux gecorrespondeerd en daaruit bleek dat de heer Perroux van mij het programma verwachtte. Dit heb ik U gisteren toegezonden (ong. 50 stuks). In verband met het uitvallen van Prof. Predöhl en het feit dat Prof. Papi pas 30 April aanwezig kan zijn heb ik gemeend verstandig te doen het begin op 28 April te stellen, daarmede tevens de mogelijkheid latend dat de deelnemers in de loop van de 27e aankomen. Tenzij hier ernstig bezwaar tegen zou bestaan, zou ik zelf ook op de 27e April willen aankomen en wel om 12 uur, indien ik mijn aansluiting in Brussel haal; anders om half twee.
Voor de reservering van mijn kamer in het Grand Hotel du Commerce dank ik U zeer; zoals U weet was het mijn gewoonte in hotel St Georges te logeren, omdat ik dan met de studenten direct in contact ben. Mocht er in hotel St Georges geen ruimte beschikbaar zijn, dan zal ik mij dus gaarne naar het hotel du Commerce begeven. Mocht er echter wel ruimte zijn, dan heb ik een zekere voorkeur voor St. Georges. Ik laat U gaarne de beslissing over.

Dear Father Verleye,
I gratefully received both your letters concerning the Economic Week. In the meantime, I had also corresponded with Mr. Perroux, and it appeared that Mr. Perroux expected the program from me. I sent this to you yesterday (approx. 50 copies). In connection with the cancellation of Prof. Predöhl and the fact that Prof. Papi can only be present on April 30, I thought it wise to set the start for April 28, thereby also allowing for the possibility that the participants arrive during the course of the 27th. Unless there is a serious objection to this, I would also like to arrive on April 27 at 12 o'clock, if I make my connection in Brussels; otherwise at half past one.
Thank you very much for the reservation of my room in the Grand Hotel du Commerce; as you know, it was my habit to stay at hotel St Georges, because I am then in direct contact with the students. Should there be no space available in hotel St Georges, I will gladly go to the hotel du Commerce. However, should there be space, I have a certain preference for St. Georges. I gladly leave the decision to you.
