I herewith declare that Mr M. van den BERG from South-Africa, The University of Stellenbosch, is preparing under my guidance a dissertation on the subject "The Influence of Research on Economic Policy". Mr van den Berg has shown a very good understanding for his subject and has worked with great intelligence and activity.
