Beste Kees,
Hierbij zend ik je de twee hoofdstukken terug van het boek van Dr Kohte met enkele potloodkrabbels er op waar, naar mijn mening, onjuiste of onvolledige passages voorkomen.
Op blz. III 1 heeft men kennelijk de wet van de verbindend- en onverbindendverklaring van ondernemersovereenkomsten ten onrechte geinterpreteerd als collectieve contracten. De behandeling op blz. III 13 lijkt mij al te beperkt. De absorptie van het overtollige geld is niet slechts door het invoersaldo maar ook door overschotten op de Rijksbegroting tot stand gekomen, evenals door de uitbreiding van de productie en de stijging van het prijsniveau. Op blz. III 14 is de uitdrukking " Höchstlöhne " niet bepaald duidelijk voor de hier toegepaste loonbeheersing. Er zou iets meer gezegd moeten worden over die loonbeheersing. In de onderste helft van deze pagina dient toch wel te worden vermeld dat de stabilisering van ons loon- en prijsniveau maar betrekkelijk is geweest. Hebben wij niet vier of vijf loonrondes gehad? Men kan wel opmerken dat de oorzaken voornamelijk van buitenlandse aard waren. Op blz. III 20 ontbreekt een noot, terwijl op blz. III 22 twee belangrijke punten m.i. over het hoofd zijn gezien.
Over hoofdstuk IV heb ik geen opmerkingen dan dat er wel nieuwere gegevens beschikbaar zijn over internationale vergelijkingen van nationale inkomens.

I am hereby returning to you the two chapters of Dr. Kohte's book with some pencil scribbles on them where, in my opinion, incorrect or incomplete passages occur.
On page III 1, the law on the binding and non-binding declaration of entrepreneur agreements has apparently been wrongly interpreted as collective contracts. The treatment on page III 13 seems too limited to me. The absorption of the excess money was achieved not only through the import balance but also through surpluses on the national budget, as well as through the expansion of production and the rise in the price level. On page III 14, the expression " Höchstlöhne " is not particularly clear for the wage control applied here. Something more should be said about that wage control. In the lower half of this page, it should nevertheless be mentioned that the stabilization of our wage and price level has only been relative. Have we not had four or five wage rounds? One can note that the causes were mainly of a foreign nature. On page III 20 a note is missing, while on page III 22 two important points have, in my opinion, been overlooked.
Regarding chapter IV, I have no comments other than that newer data are available on international comparisons of national incomes.
