PROF. DR JAN TINBERGEN THE HAGUE, 17 February 1954
Sijzenlaan 41
Professor and Mrs Ralph M. Sargent, 4, College Circle, Haverford College, Haverford, (Pa) USA
Dear Mr and Mrs Sargent,
My wife and I are still grateful for the nice evening we spent with you and when we had the pleasure of seeing all the wonderful slides of your country and its flowers.
We are not able to supply you with anything comparable as an expression of our thanks, but the only thing we were able to find was a modest book with pictures without colours, that does, however, give an impression of this flat country. Please, accept it as just a signal to remind you of our feelings of gratitude.
With all best wishes,
yours very sincerely,
