Zeer geachte Heer Ruiter,
Dezer dagen ontving ik bericht dat mijn voordracht op 4 September 's morgens geen voortgang vindt. Daardoor zou ik toch nog in staat zijn reeds 's morgens naar Bergen te komen. Indien het zonder al te veel moeite Uwerzijds zo nog kan worden geregeld, zou ik dat zelfs wel op prijs stellen, omdat het zo moeilijk voor mij is wanneer het 's avonds licht te laat wordt. Maar het spreekt wel vanzelf dat ik, na hetgeen er geschied is, U met dit verzoek niet te veel last wil bezorgen. Mag ik nog even Uw beslissing horen ?

Recently I received word that my presentation on the morning of September 4th will not take place. Because of this, I would still be able to come to Bergen in the morning. If it can still be arranged without too much trouble on your part, I would even appreciate it, because it is so difficult for me when it easily becomes too late in the evening. But it goes without saying that, after what has happened, I do not want to cause you too much trouble with this request. May I hear your decision soon?
