Als het je schikt zullen wij gaarne a.s. Zondag om 12 uur aankomen aan het Centraal Station. We hopen dat het je goed gaat.
Voorlopig zijn er geen verdere promoties in Rotterdam bij mij; daartoe zijn mijn verdere candidaten nog te weinig gevorderd. Heb je inmiddels de proefschriften van Mejuffrouw Goris en Professor Koyck ontvangen? Ik heb je nog interessante dingen te vermelden over mijn verblijf van twee dagen in Rome.

For the time being, there are no further PhD defenses in Rotterdam with me; my further candidates have not yet progressed enough for that. Have you received the dissertations of Miss Goris and Professor Koyck in the meantime? I still have interesting things to tell you about my two-day stay in Rome.
