Dear Professor Boulding,
Having received your Review Note on The Cowles Commission, I want to thank you very much for it. It is heartening for all those intimately connected with the Cowles Commission that your judgement is so favourable. May I at the same time express my regret that I did not meet you during my visit to Ann Arbor when you were absent? Nevertheless the visit was a very pleasant one thanks to Dr Klein's hospitality in particular, and the very kind reception of the colleagues present at that time. The discussion I had with the members of the Economic Department was very stimulating and interesting.
