Bijgaand zend ik je een voorlopige inhoudsopgave van het nieuwe boek, waarover wij spraken. Omtrent het karakter wilde ik nog opmerken, dat het dus inderdaad bedoeld is als een wetenschappelijk handboek waarin ook formules gebruikt worden, zij het in de hoofdtekst en niet excessief. Het zou bedoeld zijn voor meer gevorderde studenten van het onderwerp en voor wetenschappelijke lezers op dit gebied. Niettemin zou het ook voor politici wel enige interesse kunnen hebben, omdat ik, blijkens de onderdelen, op tal van actuele kwesties in zou willen gaan. Het zou om zo te zeggen moeten geven "the economist's opinion" over een aantal van deze vraagstukken. Ik heb wel gedacht aan een omvang van enige honderden bladzijden, zoals wij reeds bespraken. Terwijl ik dit schrijf nog even een kleine suggestie.
Mag ik toevoegen omtrent de achterkaft van de "Contributions to Economic Analysis"? In de lijst van de boekjes worden deze niet genummerd. Zou het niet goed zijn de nummers toe te voegen?

Enclosed I send you a preliminary table of contents of the new book we spoke about. Regarding its character, I would like to note that it is indeed intended as a scientific handbook in which formulas are also used, albeit in the main text and not excessively. It would be intended for more advanced students of the subject and for scientific readers in this field. Nevertheless, it could also be of some interest to politicians, because, as shown by the sections, I would like to go into numerous current issues. It should, so to speak, provide "the economist's opinion" on a number of these issues. I have thought of a size of several hundred pages, as we already discussed. While I am writing this, just a small suggestion.
May I add something regarding the back cover of the "Contributions to Economic Analysis"? In the list of the booklets, these are not numbered. Would it not be good to add the numbers?
