Hierbij wil ik U nogmaals vriendelijk dank zeggen voor de ontvangen gastvrijheid, die mij op Zaterdag j.l. in Uw club is te beurt gevallen. Ten einde mij volledig te verantwoorden omtrent het misverstand, dat gerezen was over mijn spreekbeurt, zend ik U hierbij de correspondentie ter inzage, die ik met mijn eigen gouverneur, Ir. H.H. Buss, hierover had. Intussen ga ik gaarne op Uw voorstel in om, als ik nog eens in Brugge moet zijn, U van te voren te waarschuwen, zodat wij wellicht nog eens een bijeenkomst kunnen beleggen.

I would like to once again kindly thank you for the hospitality I received at your club last Saturday. In order to fully account for the misunderstanding that arose regarding my speaking engagement, I am hereby sending you the correspondence for your inspection that I had with my own governor, Ir. H.H. Buss, regarding this matter. In the meantime, I would be happy to accept your proposal to warn you in advance if I should be in Bruges again, so that we might be able to arrange another meeting.
