Zeer geachte Heer Homan,
Gaarne verklaar ik U nogmaals, dat ik de avond in Arnhem bijzonder pleizierig heb gevonden. Overeenkomstig onze afspraak deel ik U nog gaarne even mede op welke wijze ik mijn honorarium enz. verrekend zou willen zien. De reiskosten à f 8.- ontvang ik gaarne op mij postrekening 15 26 88, terwijl ik U zou willen voorstellen het bedrag, dat U mij als honorarium had toegedacht, ter beschikking te stellen van het Personeelsfonds van het Centraal Planbureau, gironummer [unclear]. Wat het bedrag zelf betreft, laat ik dit gaarne aan U over om het in overeenstemming met Uw tradities te bepalen. Op het Planbureau, waar wij ook wel eens sprekers uitnodigen, betalen wij als regel f 50.

Dear Mr. Homan,
I would like to state once again that I found the evening in Arnhem particularly pleasant. In accordance with our agreement, I would like to inform you how I would like my honorarium etc. to be settled. I would like to receive the travel expenses of f 8.- in my postal account 15 26 88, while I would like to suggest that you make the amount you had intended for me as an honorarium available to the Personnel Fund of the Central Planning Bureau, giro number [unclear]. As for the amount itself, I gladly leave it to you to determine it in accordance with your traditions. At the Planning Bureau, where we also occasionally invite speakers, we usually pay f 50.
