Mr P.L. Lawler,
Prime Minister's Department,
Canberra
Dear Mr Lawler,
In reply to your letter of June 17 I want to inform you that two of my collaborators are interested to have more particulars about a possible employment in your organization. The first one is Mr J.S. Cramer, graduate economist of Amsterdam University, specialized on econometrics. Mr Cramer works in the sector Energy, Transport and Trade, and in addition is well-informed about our general methods of working. He is a very clever man.
The second candidate is Mr C.A. Cannegieter, graduate economist of the Netherlands School of Economics (Rotterdam) who is working in the sector International Problems and made surveys on the economic conditions of a number of countries whereas he has some experience himself of Indonesia. He is informed on statistical methods of the more general type but not specialized on econometrics.
As soon as your own plans become more precise these two candidates would appreciate having more particulars. I thank you very much for your interest taken in an employment of Dutch economists.
With best personal regards,
yours very sincerely,
PROF. DR J. TINBERGEN
