Beste Dick,
Hartelijk dank voor je gelukwens met mijn verjaardag en mijn respect voor je geheugen!
Ik ben juist een week in Oslo geweest en had belangwekkende discussies met onze econometristen-vrienden zowel als met de mensen van het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek aldaar, over nationale rekeningen, enz. Ook ontmoette ik er een man, die thans op het C.B.S. aldaar het conjunctuuronderzoek zal gaan leiden en die vers uit Amerika terugkwam, waar je hem herhaaldelijk had ontmoet. Is zijn naam niet Mosse?

Many thanks for your congratulations on my birthday and my respect for your memory!
I have just been in Oslo for a week and had interesting discussions with our econometrician friends as well as with the people from the Central Bureau of Statistics there, about national accounts, etc. I also met a man there, who will now lead the business cycle research at the C.B.S. there and who just returned from America, where you had met him repeatedly. Is his name not Mosse?
