Zeer geachte heer Lariby,
Van Prof. Glasz ontving ik het verzoek U een aanbeveling te verschaffen bij een mijner Parijse relaties. Ik zend U hierbij een briefje bestemd voor mijn vriend, de heer G. Lutfalla, die een hoge positie bekleed in het genationaliseerde verzekeringsbedrijf. Ik moet er aan toevoegen dat ik niet precies weet welke zijn functie is, aangezien ik hem meer uit zijn wetenschappelijke tijd ken, zodat U verstandig doet U omtrent deze functie even op de hoogte te stellen. Hij heeft ongetwijfeld vele relaties en zou U wellicht met anderen in contact kunnen brengen. Zijn adres is: M Georges Lutfalla, 21, Place des Vosges, Paris IV.
Een andere mogelijkheid voor U is wellicht U eens te wenden tot mijn zwager, de heer A. de Wit, Louveciennes (zie telefoonboek), die een leidende functie bij de Philipsfabrieken in Paris heeft. Tegenover hem is het voldoende mijn naam te noemen, zodat ik geen briefje insluit.

From Prof. Glasz I received the request to provide you with a recommendation to one of my Parisian relations. I am sending you herewith a note intended for my friend, Mr. G. Lutfalla, who holds a high position in the nationalized insurance business. I must add that I do not know exactly what his function is, as I know him more from his scientific time, so you would be wise to inform yourself about this function. He undoubtedly has many relations and could perhaps put you in contact with others. His address is: Mr. Georges Lutfalla, 21, Place des Vosges, Paris IV.
Another possibility for you is perhaps to turn to my brother-in-law, Mr. A. de Wit, Louveciennes (see telephone book), who has a leading position at the Philips factories in Paris. To him it is sufficient to mention my name, so that I do not enclose a note.
