Dear Professor Wang,
I was very happy to meet you personally and to meet Mr. Zhang. After your visit I found out that my answer to the questions in your letter of September 20 was incomplete. Here is the complete answer:
(1) I think formula (2) should be a1 z1 = a2 z2: look at the definitions of z1 and z2
(2) Your second point is correct
(3) You are also right that there is a typing error in the formula for l opt. The first figure must be 2884 and not 2834 and then the result is 30331.9.
I also found out that the Erasmus University cannot, at so short notice, invite you to stay longer. Therefore I want to invite you (and Mr. Zhang) for a second visit to my home, to show you all my calculations.
There is an additional error in my paper: after correction of equation (3) it yields z2 = 0.95 and not 0.60. The full set of calculations gives the following results:
