My dear Staehle,
It was very pleasant to see you again, and my wife and I are very grateful for the nice dinner we had with Mrs Staehle and yourself. Please, tell her how much we liked to meet her again!
I studied with great interest your article on productivity in the cotton industry and your annual analysis of world trade which was completely unknown at my office and appears to be of much importance to us.
I was less satisfied with Mr Eiriksson's book; especially his suggestion about the cycles (with the large graph). I think it rather fantastic. I may, however, have overlooked something, and this is precisely why I am writing you: you appeared to be much more positive about his accomplishments, and since I highly value your opinion I wonder what your point of view with regard to this book is.
Please, accept with Mrs Staehle and Georgi our best wishes for 1955.
