Bijgaand zend ik je de boeken die ik je laatst beloofde, nl.:
1. Statistics of National Income and Expenditure,
2. Schedule of Par Values, uit welke 2 zich nationale inkomens laten berekenen in dollars voor elk gewenst land,
3. The Economics of 1960 (voor je geleend van de Economische Voorlichtingsdienst) waarin de laatste uitslaande tabel gegevens bevat omtrent het Real Income in International Units per 2500 Hours, per Head of Population. Dit is een bijzonder fraaie vergelijkingsmogelijkheid van de welstandsverschillen tussen verschillende landen. De tabel wordt nog aangevuld door de er aan voorafgaande grafiek.
4. Het Duitse "Statistisches Jahrbuch, waarin iets te vinden is over het nationale inkomen van Duitsland vóór en nà de oorlog; blz 18 onderaan. Het Netto-Sozial Produkt is daarvoor een zeer goede maatstaf.

Enclosed I send you the books I promised you recently, namely:
1. Statistics of National Income and Expenditure,
2. Schedule of Par Values, from which two national incomes can be calculated in dollars for any desired country,
3. The Economics of 1960 (borrowed for you from the Economic Information Service) in which the last fold-out table contains data regarding the Real Income in International Units per 2500 Hours, per Head of Population. This is a particularly fine opportunity for comparing the differences in prosperity between various countries. The table is further supplemented by the preceding graph.
4. The German "Statistisches Jahrbuch," in which something can be found about the national income of Germany before and after the war; page 18 at the bottom. The Netto-Sozial Produkt is a very good measure for this.
