I herewith declare that Dr C. M. PALVIA worked on his thesis on "An Econometric Model for Development Planning" during the academic year 1952/53. He had to study mathematical techniques and to co-ordinate and reshape many statistical investigations in order to arrive at his econometric model for development planning. He showed great interest and developed a great activity by which he succeeded in finishing his dissertation within the course of that year. I very much appreciate his co-operative spirit and the human approach of his work.
