Beste Tik,
Ik kreeg je brief van 9 December met het interessante boek van de heer López Rosado en zijn medewerkers. Het lijkt mij zeer de moeite waard en zoals je zegt, een goede oefening in het Spaans. De Spaanse vertaling van Gottfried Haberler schijnt te zijn Hotfield Haberler. Dit was nieuw voor mij.
De kiekjes waarover je schrijft zijn nog niet aangekomen en mogelijk heeft dus de grote enveloppe inderdaad het moreel van een postbeambte aangetast.

Dear Tik,
I received your letter of 9 December with the interesting book by Mr. López Rosado and his colleagues. It seems very worthwhile to me and, as you say, a good exercise in Spanish. The Spanish translation of Gottfried Haberler seems to be Hotfield Haberler. This was new to me.
The snapshots you write about have not yet arrived and so possibly the large envelope has indeed affected the morale of a postal official.
