To whom it may concern !
I herewith declare that Mr Syed Nurul Alam was a student at the Institute of Social Studies at The Hague from autumn 1952 to summer 1954, followed my course on Models for Development Planning and participated in my seminar on Development Economics. Mr Alam showed himself a hard-working and interested student, showed a very good knowledge of the economic literature on the subjects studied and wrote some well-composed papers on "Government Budget and Central Economic Plan" and on "The Acceleration Principle and the Theories of Business Cycles". He is also a nice personality.
