Thank you very much for yours of July 29. I certainly have seen the first part of the translation and I think the printing was very well done. I have not the slightest wish left and I am completely satisfied. I should like to repeat my thanks for all the trouble you gave yourself; you will understand what a pleasure it is for me to have the chance directly to address an Italian public in this way. My impression is that Italy is among the first countries to have developed several of the statistics and more complicated instruments of modern analysis, and I am looking forward to receive your recent publication.
