Beste Gerrit,
Het is weer zover dat ik door mijn briefpapier heen ben. Ik zou het erg prettig vinden als je mij weer eens 500 vel volgens bijgaand model zoudt willen leveren.
Hoe is het bij jullie thuis ? Tineke was met de Kerstvacantie natuurlijk hier, maar verkeert zo in de tijd dat zij aan honderd en één bestuursvergaderingen, conferenties e.d. deelneemt, zodat wij haar niet lang bij ons zullen zien. Zij hee[ft] het natuurlijk heerlijk. Elk blokt braaf op latijn, dit jaar met meer succes dan het vorige jaar, toen zij bleef zitten.
Wij hopen dat jullie een goed jaar 1950 zullen hebben; doe onze hartelijke groeten aan allen.

Dear Gerrit,
It has come to the point again that I have run out of my stationery. I would very much appreciate it if you would once again supply me with 500 sheets according to the enclosed model.
How are things at your home? Tineke was of course here for the Christmas holidays, but is currently so busy participating in a hundred and one board meetings, conferences, etc., that we will not see her with us for long. She is of course having a wonderful time. Elk is studying hard at Latin, this year with more success than last year, when she stayed back.
We hope that you will have a good year 1950; give our warm regards to everyone.
