Ofschoon ik in beginsel uiteraard veel belangstelling heb voor de bijeenkomst op 6 October, waartoe je mij uitnodigde, moet ik toch de reserve maken dat de kans groot is, dat ik verhinderd zal zijn in verband met de aankomst van mijn schoonzuster uit Indonesië. Slechts indien deze aankomst zou blijken vroeger of later te vallen, dan verwacht is, zal ik kunnen deelnemen. Mocht ik voor die tijd nog aanleiding hebben om schriftelijk iets voor de discussie te leveren, dan zal ik dat niet vergeten. Reeds nu wil ik zeggen, dat ik in het standpunt van p.g. de Kadt veel sterke punten aanwezig acht.

Although I naturally have a lot of interest in principle in the meeting on 6 October, to which you invited me, I must nevertheless make the reservation that there is a high probability that I will be prevented from attending in connection with the arrival of my sister-in-law from Indonesia. Only if this arrival should turn out to fall earlier or later than expected, will I be able to participate. Should I have reason before that time to provide something in writing for the discussion, I will not forget to do so. Already now I want to say that I consider many strong points to be present in the position of p.g. de Kadt.
