Mr Hal. B. Lary, Economic Commission for Europe, Palais des Nations, G e n e v a
Dear Lary,
Thank you very much for yours of November 29 the annexe of which is very nice indeed.
As to my personal plans, they have now taken shape. By January 1 my main activity will be at the Netherlands School of Economics, Pieter de Hoochweg 120, Rotterdam, and will be devoted to questions of development. Meanwhile I got two odd jobs in this connection, namely to participate some time around February in a working group headed by Mr Scheyven, in order to make some draft rules and regulations for SUNFED (this is a rather free interpretation for the terms of reference), and, second, to advise the International Bank on their methods to determine priorities. For this task I shall have to spend some 1 1/2 or 2 months in Washington. There is also some talk going on on a short mission to India, but this has not taken definite shape yet.
May I take this opportunity to send you my best wishes for a happy New Year ?
Yours very sincerely,
